Designer Bag Lust

top left: Marc Jacobs, top right: 3.1 Philip Lim, bottom left: Mulberry, bottom right Alexander Wang
I've decided that one of my new years resolutions will be to stop buying so much and put more efforts into saving for something substantial. These are a few bags I've always loved and as an incentive,  will be saving to purchase one. The better I become at saving the quicker I can own one of these lovely bags!

Christmas Treats

I've loved seeing what people have been given for Christmas, so I thought I'd share a few of my favourite pieces. Some where presents and some I've bought in the sales since.
1. Been wanting these heels for so long! Finally bought them from New Look and only for £11.
2. Tim Walker's Story Teller book, a beautiful book by my favourite fashion photographer.
3. I bought this bracelet in H&M and I really love it, most my jewellery is very dainty so it's nice to have this change.
4. Can't actually fit anything else in my wardrobe I've got far too many clothes now, but i'm really looking forward to wearing them all.
5. My boyfriend bought me a coffee machine to go in my room, along with a whole bunch of coffee treats from him and his family, which goes perfectly with my Starbucks tea from Katie (stylemeunique-kfisher.blogspot.co.uk). They know me so well!

Vogue Jan '13

I have fallen in love with this shoot in Vogue. Even thought I am in such a Christmas mood (last night I had my first mulled wine of the christmasy season), this does make me miss summer, especially my holiday to Bali!

DIY: Pearl Embellished Jumper

I took an old black jumper and an old pearl necklace, both I haven't worn in a long time. I took the necklace apart and sewed on the pearls!
Like most my own DIY's this didn't take long, around 30mins.
As much as I love novelty Christmas jumpers this is something far more to my own taste and something cute I can wear for Christmas.

I'll try and get some better photos of it soon, as the lighting over the winter is so awful to take pictures in!

Winter Outfit #1

coat- topshop, top- primark, skirt- river island
I haven't worn a skirt in the day for so long! With my work discount I managed to get it for £14, I can wear it dressed up and down so hopefully I'll get my moneys worth.

DIY: Oversized Winter Coat

I made this coat in the summer as part of a college project on my family's history of tailoring. I ended up pulling an all-nighter while making it, so lack of sleep meant it was finished pretty much overnight. Thanks to 20+ coffee's and cheesy horror films keeping me going, it turned out alright! I had to change the pattern slightly (took out the gussets, changed the cuffs and collar size) which wasn't too much of a problem.

New in: Chloe Sunglasses

I love these sunglasses, they're an unusual shape- somewhere between round and square. Unfortunately I won't be able to wear them much till after winter!

Alexander Wang, Creative Director for Balenciaga

Alexander Wang has been named new creative director for Balenciaga, at first my reaction was '?!?!'..
It was said that Christopher Kane was meant to be taking this role, I was preparing myself for structure, panels, neutrals with an edgy print feel.
I love Alexander he's is one of my favourite designers, I think my shock is that I don't want him to share his talent with anyone else! He has such a fresh and young vibe I don't think he should be labelling himself to any brand yet!
I have a feeling there's going to be a Burberry-esq turn around. Meaning (in a nutshell) when Burberry where really loosing sales, became a less popular brand etc etc, they brought it in some young and famous faces (Emma Watson) to model. Since then they've become a really popular brand again, and the famous Burberry print has again been one people lust after.
My point is I think Alexander is so fantastic there's nothing he can't do, I think he's really going to turn the brand around and I can't wait to see their newest collection.
