Christmas Day

Have had such a lovely morning with all the family.
OOTD, very simple (as always) wearing a Reiss top I bought a few weeks back and my favourite fluffy Christmas shoes from Asos.
Also included a few photos of my most treasured gifts from today, I'm so grateful.
Now for a late lunch exchanging more presents and another glass of Mo√ęt!

Day Off

Lie-in this morning and then spent most the day researching for my second term, even made myself a make shift work space!
The last two photos are of some new purchases, blouse and hat are from River Island. Along with (yet another) pair of black boots from Zara.
Overall a lovely relaxing day, I hadn't realised how many home comforts I've missed whilst living in London the past few months. Spending Christmas in the country side is something I'll never tire of!

Home for Christmas

Another quick post today. Just a few photos of our Christmas decorations. It was lovely to come home to everything set up, my first day home consisted of eating mince pies and watching Elf, going to the Christmas event local to where I live and drinking mulled wine. Then I spent my evening listening to the Frank Sinatra Christmas album whilst making paper chains with my sisters.
It's nice to relax, but I'm sure these next few weeks will fly by!

Christmas Wish List

Feels like so long since I have posted, deadlines crept up so I've disappeared the last couple weeks to get everything finished in time. Although now I've already started my second project with lots of design work to keep me busy over Christmas.

I've put together a wish list of things I've been lusting over recently.

1. Lace Trim slip dress- kind of cheated with this one as I've already bought a very similar here for dinner at the Ritz next month!
2. Dainty jewellery- Can't get enough recently, there has been lots catching my eye in Harrods.
3. Tom Dixon candle in copper.
4. Zara boots- even I can say I do not need another pair of black boots, but one more pair won't hurt!
5. Alexa Chungs 'It'- I've heard different things about this book, I'm keen to read it myself.
6. Basics- Feeling as if I need to stock up on some new basics, a quick way to reinvent my wardrobe.
7. Silk pyjamas- A luxury unjustifyable unless it's Christmas, I can't think of anything more self indulgent then a pair of silk pyjamas.
8. Flowers (white peonies to be precise).

The Gentlewoman a/w 13

I picked up The Gentlewoman in &otherstories a few days back. It was a refreshing read, subtle and sophisticated. The aesthetics are beautiful, and I found the articles interesting! (Something people don't like to admit but they only purchase Vogue for their pretty pictures and not so much it's written content- I'm guilty of this also).

Westminster, OOTD

Bought this coat a few weeks ago, it's such a great winter coat. I really like a leather and fur combo but it also keeps me really warm (starting to get very cold in London).
Today I had a stroll around Green Park with my boyfriend, looks so lovely in Autumn. Then typical us we ended up shopping on Regent and Oxford Street, although I must add it's nice to have a boyfriend who shares an equal love of shopping!

Transition to Bloglovin'

I've only recently managed to get my head round Bloglovin', it's taken me a while to adjust but I'm finding it a much easier way to read posts and comment etc!
My problem is I don't follow many blogs, I didn't want to import any (kind of of starting a fresh). If any links are left below I'll happily have a look! I'm also checking out blogs of new followers frequently now I'm actually using Bloglovin'.

I keep a permanent link in the side bar but you can also click here

South Kensington, OOTD

Had a lovely Sunday afternoon, took trip to South Kensington for lunch but ended up sidetracked into a bit of shopping at Harrods. I'm in love with my new Zara bag I bought yesterday, pony skin and leather mix is a dream! The weather has become so cold now, autumn is my favourite season and an even better excuse for big coats and Starbucks pumpkin spice!

I have fallen in love with the Zara pony hair loafers. I saw them in the store a few weeks ago and I'm obsessed! (along with their beautiful lace trimmed slip dresses!)

Saatchi Gallery

A few photographs from my trip to the Saatchi Gallery this morning, (handy hint- going early and avoiding crowds allows you to take advantage of the wide spaces while photographing with no interruptions!). I think it's become my new favourite gallery with free entry and a beautiful building, even my not-so-artsy boyfriend enjoyed the trip!
The art was interesting and truly inspiring, I cannot wait for my next trip.
(Last photograph is a peek at a recent gift I'll be blogging about soon!)

New Phone Case*

Received a personalised phone case from Wrappz.com, quick delivery easy and straight forward to make you're own design, I chose a photo of one of my favourite sculptures. The website also allows you add text and has a wide range of phone/laptop cases and stickers- all can be personalised (great idea for presents)!

Kilo Vintage Sale

Today I went to a Kilo vintage sale, £1 entry and then you pay per kilo of clothes (also get a cute stamp on entry). I found some lovely pieces for autumn, mostly to wear with black jeans and boots ALTHOUGH I didn't try on some of the items and 'oversized' would be an understatement and they're simply just too big.
So.. I'll be photographing and posting about them then putting them up on ebay in the following week (if anyone's interested keep an eye out).
Luckily my favourite grey flannel shirt fits like a dream (above)!

London Catch Up

(Left to Right)
1. My boyfriend came to visit, which equals unnecessary lift selfies
2. Cute pigeon came into a cafe in South Kensington
3. New keyring for my halls key, miniature Celine bag!
4. Trainers have become my new best friend- so much walking
5. Make shift desk bed, doesn't look it, but very comfy
6. Pitfield cafe
7. London Bridge drinks
8. Today, first lecture on the Oxford Street campus. (White leather jacket has finally made another appearance!)
9. A postcard I picked up from a trip to the British Museum last week

A few photos from my time in London so far, I'm going to try and be more snap happy with my camera. Starting to feel like an actual Uni student now I have more lectures to go to. I've just been given a group project which I'm really looking forward to starting- seems to be going well so far!

V&A Architecture

I promise I'll be posting again soon, moving to London has been hectic! There's so much to do, it's been none stop. One of my favourite trips so far has been revisiting the V&A, knowing that I can wander round without time constrictions as home is only a short tube journey away is one of my favourite things about London life.
I start University next week, and making progress with the summer task I've been set. Once I'm in a more structured routine, finding the time to post will become a lot easier.

London Buys

Feeling productive and thought I'd share my favourite buys from yesterday. Firstly is a fluffy black jumper from & Other Stories, I have fallen in love with the brand! The shop was perfect and I was spoilt for choice, I chose the jumper as it's so soft and comfortable. Secondly I picked up these earrings from Orelia (sold in Topshop), very dainty and perfect for everyday wear. I also raided all four floors of the Oxford street h&m, which was very successful. We had italian lunch with a window seat, perfect for people watching and I think I've finally got my head round the tubes!

University Pieces

If I haven't made it clear enough in my previous posts... I'm very excited to be moving into University halls at the end of next week. This summer has gone so quickly, but I do feel ready to go back into education and start studying something that I love. I'm going to London College of Fashion to study Designer Pattern Cutting, anyone who doesn't know its basically clothes making and construction worked alongside with design; learning how to make a 2D idea into a 3D piece. It's exactly what I want to be doing and I feel very lucky to have been given a place. (Although the thought of having 55 sheets of A3 paper to fill just for the summer work is slightly daunting).

I'm enjoying picking up bits and pieces for my room at halls, above are a few of my favourite picks. I'm not allowed candles in my room instead I opted for a room diffuser from h&m, which smells so fresh and floral. I've gathered all my kitchen pieces from Ikea, all very minimal and white. Lastly a copper lampshade (again Ikea) and an old lamp, I've put the two together as I love the contrasting metals.
Next on my list is to stock up on stationary!

OOTD

Quick post as I'm off out to Ikea for round two uni shop, just a few bits to pick up before I move next week! Wearing my new boots which I've been meaning to post about but uni excitement leaves little times for me to actually focus and get anything done. I have to say they are perfect for everyday use and surprisingly robust!

Todays Essentials

Family visiting today, just finished a roast and felt it would be a good time to share some of my essentials. Ray-Bans (a present from my birthday), stackable rings from h&m and I've also re-kindled my love for a vintage herringbone style wool scarf.

London & White Cube Gallery

I have spent almost the entire day trying to be ultra organised in planning my move to London, this some what turned on itself and became 'lets find lots of fun stuff to do when I'm there' (a form of procrastination whilst trying to suppress the fears of using the tube alone!)...
Although there are a lot more lists to write, I have found some lovely places to keep myself busy (for the first month at least).
A favourite of mine being the White Cube Gallery, I had known about the gallery previously but didn't realise there are three of them in London! Hoxton Square gallery is a short walk from where I'll be living, Duke street I could combine with a not-so impromptu shopping trip, and the Bermondsey gallery will have to be visited as well, just to round it up (photo above).

I've found a few cafes, bars and galleries, all in walking distance. The Book Club being at the top of my list, but if you know of any places in the Shoreditch/ Hoxton area please do let me know!

Birthday!

Thought I would try and mark my 19th birthday with a blog post while I still have a few minutes left of being the birthday girl. I'll be putting more photos up possibly tomorrow as I'm dying to share some of my favourite gifts, although now I'm recovering from my busy day and desperately looking forward to my lie-in tomorrow!

Also I've included a photo of my favourite birthday card. Botticelli, this painting being one of my all time favourite pieces of art. Not entirely sure why as I'm much more of a Renaissance sculpture kinda girl..

Not very surprising, I'm lusting after these basics currently! The shoes are last season Zara and I'm kicking myself for not buying them, (not sure if they still have them in stores though?).

Arrived!

Finally! I'm so pleased with them, they're not too large or overwhelming and a perfect colour! Jewellery wise I go for rose gold; as it works best with the pink undertones in my skin. These headphones are like jewellery themselves. Although they come at a bit of a price, I have fallen in love with them and have yet to find a pair of headphones that can compete.

Minimal

I love Zara's new way of showing each item, I really like the models they've picked, how its been styled, even hair and make-up!
Since it's my birthday in a couple weeks I've been on the lookout for a birthday present, I'm finding it really difficult to pick something I'd like. Especially after finding these few pieces it's proving ever harder to make a definitive choice!

Zara Coat

I bought this coat at the beginning of summer and it seemed a bit silly posting about it then, but now I've started to see glimpses of a/w fashion more so I've jumped at the chance to put it on here!
It's been nicknamed the London coat by my mumma as it's a city coat and was bought primarily for my move to London (4 weeks!).
