Easter Sunday

(jumper- h&m, jeans- river island, shoes- asos)

Hope everyones having a lovely easter! Got a lot of work on at the moment, starting my Final Major Project (the project that counts as my whole grade for the entire year!), so stressing out a little bit. I'm looking at Entomology, will probably do a most on ideas I have and powerpoint I had to present!

Project: Industrial Inspired

The project I'm doing at the moment is about interiors. Very basically, I've got to produce a chair, a lighting piece and a wall art piece. These will then be used to style a small area/pretend room.
I've chosen to look at industrial style interiors but have sneaked in some fashion, I'm making a clothes rail as my wall art and then having a small collection hanging from it. The collection will also have a very minimalist and industrial feel.
Here's a dress I've been working on at the moment. It's not finished, but the design is meant to look almost unfinished (hence the frayed hem).
I felt this conveyed the concept of industrial interiors better: living with essentials, less is more.

Asos Hand Harness

This came through the post the other day and for only £6 I couldn't refuse. It's very dainty and thin, planning to wear this in summer with some cut offs and basic tees.

DIY: Phone Pouch

Referring to my previous post, I mentioned I had left over fabric from my last project and I wanted to do something with it. Today I spent an hour or so putting together a few very easy DIYs, the phone case was initially inspired by Elin Klings but after seeing a how-to on Love Aesthetics I knew it was something I had to try out. I liked it so much I ended up making myself a bus pass cover and document holder to match!

DIY: Leather Skirt

This is one of four skirts from a mini collection I made for a current project, It was inspired by sea scape imagery and the print came from a scan of crushed shells. I love the pleather material and have so much left over I can't wait to start making some more bits and bobs out of it!

Summer Basics

I had a little shopping spree a few days ago whilst trying to plan my summer wardrobe. Asos seems to be my go-to for basics at the moment, they're affordable and I find always fit well.
The top in the first photo I have fallen in love with, it reminded me of something Balenciaga-esq. I'm also going to order myself some more basic tees, the quality was better then I expected and I love the simple styles!
