London Buys

Feeling productive and thought I'd share my favourite buys from yesterday. Firstly is a fluffy black jumper from & Other Stories, I have fallen in love with the brand! The shop was perfect and I was spoilt for choice, I chose the jumper as it's so soft and comfortable. Secondly I picked up these earrings from Orelia (sold in Topshop), very dainty and perfect for everyday wear. I also raided all four floors of the Oxford street h&m, which was very successful. We had italian lunch with a window seat, perfect for people watching and I think I've finally got my head round the tubes!

University Pieces

If I haven't made it clear enough in my previous posts... I'm very excited to be moving into University halls at the end of next week. This summer has gone so quickly, but I do feel ready to go back into education and start studying something that I love. I'm going to London College of Fashion to study Designer Pattern Cutting, anyone who doesn't know its basically clothes making and construction worked alongside with design; learning how to make a 2D idea into a 3D piece. It's exactly what I want to be doing and I feel very lucky to have been given a place. (Although the thought of having 55 sheets of A3 paper to fill just for the summer work is slightly daunting).

I'm enjoying picking up bits and pieces for my room at halls, above are a few of my favourite picks. I'm not allowed candles in my room instead I opted for a room diffuser from h&m, which smells so fresh and floral. I've gathered all my kitchen pieces from Ikea, all very minimal and white. Lastly a copper lampshade (again Ikea) and an old lamp, I've put the two together as I love the contrasting metals.
Next on my list is to stock up on stationary!

OOTD

Quick post as I'm off out to Ikea for round two uni shop, just a few bits to pick up before I move next week! Wearing my new boots which I've been meaning to post about but uni excitement leaves little times for me to actually focus and get anything done. I have to say they are perfect for everyday use and surprisingly robust!

Todays Essentials

Family visiting today, just finished a roast and felt it would be a good time to share some of my essentials. Ray-Bans (a present from my birthday), stackable rings from h&m and I've also re-kindled my love for a vintage herringbone style wool scarf.

London & White Cube Gallery

I have spent almost the entire day trying to be ultra organised in planning my move to London, this some what turned on itself and became 'lets find lots of fun stuff to do when I'm there' (a form of procrastination whilst trying to suppress the fears of using the tube alone!)...
Although there are a lot more lists to write, I have found some lovely places to keep myself busy (for the first month at least).
A favourite of mine being the White Cube Gallery, I had known about the gallery previously but didn't realise there are three of them in London! Hoxton Square gallery is a short walk from where I'll be living, Duke street I could combine with a not-so impromptu shopping trip, and the Bermondsey gallery will have to be visited as well, just to round it up (photo above).

I've found a few cafes, bars and galleries, all in walking distance. The Book Club being at the top of my list, but if you know of any places in the Shoreditch/ Hoxton area please do let me know!

Birthday!

Thought I would try and mark my 19th birthday with a blog post while I still have a few minutes left of being the birthday girl. I'll be putting more photos up possibly tomorrow as I'm dying to share some of my favourite gifts, although now I'm recovering from my busy day and desperately looking forward to my lie-in tomorrow!

Also I've included a photo of my favourite birthday card. Botticelli, this painting being one of my all time favourite pieces of art. Not entirely sure why as I'm much more of a Renaissance sculpture kinda girl..

//Wishlist: Basics

All items can be found here.
Not very surprising, I'm lusting after these basics currently! The shoes are last season Zara and I'm kicking myself for not buying them, (not sure if they still have them in stores though?).

Arrived!

Finally! I'm so pleased with them, they're not too large or overwhelming and a perfect colour! Jewellery wise I go for rose gold; as it works best with the pink undertones in my skin. These headphones are like jewellery themselves. Although they come at a bit of a price, I have fallen in love with them and have yet to find a pair of headphones that can compete.

Minimal

I love Zara's new way of showing each item, I really like the models they've picked, how its been styled, even hair and make-up!
Since it's my birthday in a couple weeks I've been on the lookout for a birthday present, I'm finding it really difficult to pick something I'd like. Especially after finding these few pieces it's proving ever harder to make a definitive choice!

Zara Coat

I bought this coat at the beginning of summer and it seemed a bit silly posting about it then, but now I've started to see glimpses of a/w fashion more so I've jumped at the chance to put it on here!
It's been nicknamed the London coat by my mumma as it's a city coat and was bought primarily for my move to London (4 weeks!).

Current Favourites

Finally getting round to photographing a couple bits I bought a few weeks ago in Barcelona.
Both Zara, the first is the pair of pony hair shoes- really love these and they go with everything. The second is my current scent, very light and fresh!
