Oversized Missguided Coat

I ordered this coat a couple weeks ago, I was sold when I saw it was reduced to £20. I love the colour and how soft the fabric is. I think it'll be great to layer up over the Christmas season.
I've handed in everything for uni and officially finished for Christmas, so excited I can finally enjoy some time off. Got lots of presents to buy, 3 very large boxes of clothes to clear out, and all the mulled wine to drink!

Christmas Wish List

I am Christmas number 1. fan, without any shame either. I completely indulge myself in anything Christmas-y and everyone near me. (My boyfriend has had a list of things I wanted to do this year weeks ago). Thought it was about time to officially put together a Christmas wish list!

1. A black faced watch. The one featured above is from Olivia Burton but I just like the idea of a black watch.

2. Ceramic Jackalope. I saw this in Selfridges last week and thought it was amazing! You unscrew the head and stuff his body with cotton wool, then pull it out his tail when needed. By no means an essential but I thought it was adorable.

3. Acne Knit. Love this grey chunky jumper this would be a great addition to my Acne pieces.

4. Jo Malone scent. I'm after a perfume in general but I think the Jo Malone bottles are lovely to look at. (Probably not the to-do thing when picking a new perfume, but I'm always drawn to the packaging first!).

5. Candles. I'm a huge candle fan and they're lit 24/7, so I get through them pretty quickly.

6. Faux fur throw. Although I did buy myself one the other day, I'm classing it as an early Christmas present.

7. Whistles fold over bag. I've been looking for a small/medium sized everyday black bag, I think this is perfect.

8. Underwear. I am underwear obsessed recently, ASOS have some beaut' sets in at the moment!

9. Jewellery. I love receiving jewellery as a present, this Monica Vinader ring has been a long time favourite of mine.

OOTD ft. H&M Heels

Took my new heels for a spin out today. It's getting so much colder now and I'm running short of sunny days to not just layer up every jumper and coat I own.
Wearing a last season H&M coat with River Island top and jeans. Along with my newest purchases my H&M heels and necklace.
Catching sunlight on winter days also seems to be getting trickier!
Happy Monday x

New Heels and Update

I have a christmas meal with my boy in a couple weeks, so obviously I needed a completely new outfit. Found these beaut' heels in H&M (which I'm so excited to wear).
I've been working for my hand in which is coming up so quickly! I'm going to post my final piece and some portfolio work soon. Other than that I've been prepping for Christmas and trying to fit in time for everyday things.
Had a really lovely day yesterday, my boyfriend came to visit so we did the cliche shopping on Oxford street (mainly because I love the lights at night) and grabbed some amazing Chinese in Charring Cross. He bought me some flowers and wine on the way home (I'm always so spoilt, it melts my heart).
Happy Saturday!

OOTD ft. Hurricane Heel

coat & jumper - zara, trousers- topshop, shoes- asos hurricane heel

Still loving these shoes since 2012
I recently bought some trousers that surprisingly weren't black skinny jeans. Yes, I've found love in these Topshop cigarette pants. Continually being worn with an oversized white tee and my gazelles for the ultimate boy attire (no shame), you can't knock 'em for comfort!

Sorry for lack of posts, busy as always. Happy Monday!

Basic OOTD

coat- zara,  jumper jeans & boots- river island

Such a go to outfit at the moment. I've been living out of a suitcase in Winchester for the last month with the occasional trip back to London. Due to work commitments I've been crashing with my boy until Uni starts again and I'm back into the swing of things. The amount of clothes I get to bring back and forth are limiting because of this, so I've picked all my favourite basics and mix and matching them accordingly (with the occasional new purchase).

Life is good, but busy. Finding time for any form of social media is becoming a task for the time being, give me a week or so and I'll be back to regular posting!

OOTD | New in River Island

top, jeans, boots & necklace- river island, coat & sunglasses- topshop

Picked up a few new bits in River Island yesterday. The fabric to the top is slightly thicker than a jersey so it's perfect for the upcoming colder weather to layer up. Along with my new boots I'm starting to feel I am finally building up an AW wardrobe.
A little shopping has put me in the best mood for a Monday!

OOTD ft. Primark duster coat

Taken my a while to get round to posting these outfit photos but wanted to share love for the Primark duster coat. At £14 it was hard to resist and surprisingly soft fabric. An easy wardrobe staple to throw on.

New Bedroom Interior

I have finally moved in, painted and decorated. Now can enjoy having my own space again! So happy with how it's come together, with thanks to Ikea I kept all my furniture minimal and clean. Then just picked up a couple feature pieces like the antler lamp and printed cushion. All it needs is the frames filling and some flowers for the milk bottles!
Busy couple of weeks but now I'm settled in can put my focus back into starting my second year at LCF and posting regularly again.

Oversized Shirt OOTD

shirt, jeans and hat- river island / bag- stradivarius / sunglasses- topshop

Picked up part of my new work uniform today, this white shirt a couple sizes too big. Very simple, but thought it'll be perfect for layering in autumn. Paired it with my old favourite jeans and flats.

Busy week ahead! I turn 20 in two days, prepping for the move into our new London house with my gal Georgia as well as design work to be cracking on with!

Busted Knee OOTD

coat- h&m/ bag, shoes and top- zara

Terrible lighting today, due to the rain clouds. On the plus side it's becoming more acceptable for my all black outfits to return. Sewing up my jeans is next on my to do list!
Happy Friday x

OOTD ft. Back detail

Another outfit post from the other day. Raided Georgias wardrobe before heading over to Camden for the night. I love this top from h&m, the slouchy fabric sits so well and is so comfortable to wear.

OOTD

Another quick OOTD staying with my girl Georgia for a few days, recovering from the heat of Madrid last week. (Post to come still filtering through the hundreds of photos).

I picked up this little shoulder bag while I was there in Stradivarius for only £10. I've been looking for a new small black bag and so happy I found this beaut!

Handmade basics

Coat h&m / top & skirt made by me.

Thought I'd share a couple of my finished pieces so far, I'm a huge lover of minimal and simple shapes when it comes to clothing. I could wear neutrals forever and if I could design, make and wear everything in my wardrobe, I would.
Surely I'm not the only one who often finds themselves picking up items in shops and almost liking it, but there's usually something about it I also hate. Which makes it incredibly hard to shop and buy clothes.
I have no excuse now as a designer pattern cutting student other than to just start from scratch and design and make everything myself. So that's what I've started doing, a personal project over summer which I can enjoy making and then also wear (win win!).

OOTD

Doing some shopping and errands today. Quick ootd and I know these jeans won't stay white for too long. Can't seem to find black jersey in any local fabric shops (really?) so plans for todays dress looks like it'll be made of old wool or denim so far!

Summer Plans

Thought I'd share a few photos i'd taken in the past couple week. Some are on my instagram, (most don't have a place anywhere and are saved for posts like this).
Finishing Uni for the year has given me time to make clothes I can actually wear from a day to day basis. Getting so excited about designs and fabrics, I've started so far with just left over materials I already had. The skirt shown above is something I can wear over summer and wear in 101 different ways, but I do plan on making more interesting pieces.
I'm back working at River Island, really happy to be working again especially at a job i've been doing for years now.
Lots of posts planned too.. will do some on what i've been making if thats of interest to anyone other than myself! as well as an updated room post (when it's finished).

Happy wednesday x

OOTD summer saturdays

Didn't realise that my entire outfit is Zara today. I went to Mottisfont Abbey, spent the day soaking up the sun in the rose gardens with an ice cream (a pretty good saturday in my opinion).
Was also the first time I've had my legs out in the day this year, think that really does mark the start of summer for me!

Quick update, I've finished uni for the year and moving out of halls next week (couldn't come sooner). Got 101 projects and ideas I want to start working on already, but while I'm home for a few days I'm listing a lot on Depop (my username is @olivia_wh).

Spring Tumblr Inspiration

Feel like I can start to notice a change in current inspiration as the weather's warming up.

On another note I'm really terrible at replying to questions via comments, a guaranteed response if you send them through my tumblr ask box... nudeonbroadst.tumblr.com/ask (can even do so anonymously).

Triangl Swimwear*

I was contacted by Triangl recently and was offered to pick something from their current collection. Took a long time deciding as I love the brand, but finally chose the Billie Firefly.
The fabric makes it fit perfectly (but I am a sucker for neoprene).
I have pink undertones in my skin and rose gold sits well against it. I'll be going to Madrid next month and now twice as excited as I have this beauty to take with me.
