A Bloggers Guide to Winchester

Although I don't hail from Winchester I've spent many years now living here in-between my time in London. I thought it was about time I shared some of my favourite things to do and places to visit.

So firstly you'll want to check out the high street, there's a White Company, Space NK, Jigsaw, to name some of my favourites! If shopping isn't what you're after, the town has lots to explore. Head down a side street and there are so many pretty roads and beautiful houses to spot.

If you caught my previous post I paid my first visit to Rawberry last week. It's so great, I love the food and the interior. I had a charcoal latte today (!!) tasted amazing, I highly recommend.
It's great for a healthy lunch or just a coffee/smoothie!

My all time favourite shop in Winchester, I take everyone and anyone here. I get most excited about the homeware bits, books and beauty ranges. Always the best displays, you'll end up leaving with things you didn't even know you needed but now can't live without.
So this part is probably only going to be interesting to blogging gals like myself. Winchester is such a pretty town there is an abundance of places to grab outfit photos, I took mine today on Parchment Street, can't beat a classic white wall haha (it's also quiet enough that I'm not in everyones way!).

For lunch, my favourite is Forte Kitchen. it can be easy to miss as it's kind of tucked away but has great food and atmosphere.
Alternatively if it's good weather the BEST thing to do is grab a bunch of your favourite food from M&S (my personal fave) and head over the Cathedral or Abbey grounds. If it's sunny & the weekend it'll be busy, but there's always room to sit on the grass and people/ cute dog watching.
Lastly, if you have the time Winchester cinema is the best you'll ever go to. It's small (only 2 screens!) but super fancy. Exposed brick inside, the seats are velvet and roomy, plus show great films (old & new). There's a bar and you can even grab yourself some pre film tapas, what more could you want!

I tried to keep this post condensed but there's so much more I could mention, think i'll follow up with a part 2 at some point! If you have any favourites I haven't mentioned do let me know!

Happy Sunday,
Olivia xx

Tuesday OOTD

Hi friends, so this is just a really quick post today! I've been sewing like mad the past week working on my final collection for Uni. I ran out of fabric so had to make a trip into Winchester, which obviously meant checking out Rawberry for the first time too. Although I spend so much time in the town centre I've never actually been (it's in a great spot for people watching by the way!). Inside is really cool, it's all vegetarian with lots of healthy smoothies and snacks- love!

So Aurore was kind enough to send me some pieces recently, today I'm wearing the Rivoli dress. It's such a lovely wardrobe staple to invest in. I wore it to a party with my boyfriend at the weekend I dressed it up with heels and a clutch, but I think it looks super cute with a jumper and jacket layered over too. I love having versatile pieces in my wardrobe, my style is so simple it really gives me more scope with outfits!

Happy Tuesday,
Olivia xx

Holiday Wardrobe Inspo & Prep

So I booked my holiday this week! I'm heading to Ibiza with my boyfriend in a few months time! You might not be that surprised to hear we'll be staying clear of the more notorious areas. We're going to being enjoying the beautiful beaches, food and culture the island has to offer (& all the cocktails, of course!). I'm so excited to give my wardrobe a holiday refresh, so sharing my current wish list and pinterest inspiration!

Saturday London City Guide

Hello! Okay so today was just going to be an outfit post but I had such a fun day I thought I'd share what we did too! There's so much to do in London it can be a little overwhelming sometimes, but if you're after a pretty chill day and nothing too touristy- this might be for you!

We headed to Broadway Market first (okay I'm really sorry I don't have photos), but it's my favourite Saturday market. Great for food, flowers and cool homeware/ jewellery stands too. We stopped by Franco Manca for pizza and a beer after we'd spent a while browsing the market.

Shoreditch was our next stop, we grabbed a coffee at Friends Of Ours on Pitfield Street (I used to live on that road so was super cute to pay a visit again).
Both watches are from Daniel Wellington, I'm wearing the black canvas strap which is a great alternative to leather! I've linked them both at the bottom of the post.

From Pitfield Street we headed to Curtain Road (where I go to Uni, also cute haha) to give GoodHood a visit. It's SO cool, possibly the coolest shop I've ever been in. Stocks womens, mens and homeware. Brands like Comme Des Garcons, HAY & Have A Good Time. Matt loved it too, he kept saying 'I need to buy something'.. honestly I could relate, it was such a great store *take my money!!*.

Box Park was our next stop, really great pop up shops there. Decorum is fab for homeware and Astrid & Miyu have beautiful jewellery! Also the upstairs is amazing for street food. Have a search online before you head in to see what's there at the moment!
I grabbed us an Ice-cream from Softserve, green tea!! I'm a sucker for anything Matcha really, not only did it photograph really well It tasted great too.

Lastly we took a little look down Redchurch Street, some more really nice shops including Aesop & Modern Society. On a late sunny Saturday afternoon it's really chilled and was a great stop off before we headed home.
